Christmas trees are usually decorated with tinsel, baubles, and lights. One recent tradition, started in North America in the mid-1950s, has seen Christmas trees decorated with white symbols that tell the story of Jesus Christ.
This booklet explains some of the Chrismon symbols you might find on the Christmas tree at Immanuel Church. Each symbol has a Bible reading, a short description, and some questions to ponder together. As you meditate on these symbols, we pray you may prepare for the coming of Christ, who is born to us in the manger at Christmas!
