
The season of Lent is a 40-day period (not counting Sundays) of preparation for Easter, to reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Lent begins with Ash Wednesday.
Immanuel Church will engage in a 24hr Prayer Vigil commencing with an Ash Wednesday service on 5th March 2025 at 7pm, and finishing on Thursday 6th March at 7pm.
Our focus will be to pray that Immanuel Church: “Identify & establish multiple pathways for people of all walks & ages to encounter the grace of Jesus.”
What to do?

Register for at least 1hr over this 24hr period on the 24-7 Prayer Portal. You can register for more than one slot! (Hint: on a computer, use your mouse wheel to scroll around the calendar).

Pray at home or in the Prayer Room at the Worship Centre.

When you start, send a message to the Immanuel Prayer WhatsApp group. You may also like to send a few updates on your prayer topics during your hour.

The Prayer Room will be open Wed 7pm-10pm and reopen Thurs 5am–7pm. Please only attend the Prayer Room if it is safe from Cyclone Alfred.

The Prayer Room will have quiet music, prayer prompts, and butcher’s paper on the walls to write your prayers. For this period the room will be a shoes off holy space.
